ARCHIVED - Art exhibit Todos somos Uno by local students in Torrevieja from May 6 to 30
The exhibition will be open to the public at the Virgen del Carmen Culture Centre in the centre of Torrevieja until May 30
The art exhibit, “Todos somos Uno” created by students from the Municipal School of Painting in Torrevieja, will be open from Thursday (May 6) at 7.30 pm in the Virgen del Carmen Culture Centre on Calle del Mar.
The students have painted their artworks onto the floor with around 1,300 pieces in total, under the supervision of Mar García Torregosa, who is a teacher in the Municipal School of Painting.
The works use recycled cardboard and aim to raise awareness of the need to look after the environment and to learn to appreciate one’s surroundings.
In addition, the exhibit allows the students to acquire knowledge though experience and transform each thought, word, feeling or action into a single unit, permitting the artists to realize that they “form part of a whole”.
The art showcase is open to the public in the Virgen del Carmen Culture Centre until Sunday, May 30.
