ARCHIVED - Bag a bargain with discount shopping vouchers in Alicante
The city council is promoting a trade voucher scheme to boost local trade in Alicante and help shoppers save a few euros
Alicante council is encouraging shoppers to take advantage of its Bonos Comercio 2021 trade vouchers which can be redeemed in bookstores, stationery stores and local establishments.
Up to four vouchers, worth 10 euros each, can be used in the same purchase, and can be downloaded on a mobile device or printed.
The initiative, which has a budget of 100,000 euros, is aimed at offering financial benefits to families and 4,811 people have already taken advantage of the scheme. which also seeks to ‘revive the commercial fabric and local consumption in Alicante’.
‘The council has created Bonos Comercio 2021 to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, and help to build loyalty and attract new customers, whilst raising awareness amongst consumers of the importance of shopping locally,’ says commerce and hospitality councillor, Lidia Lopez.
Around 5,000 discount vouchers are still available for use in September, and can be dowloaded or printed by visiting citaprevia.alicante.es. Select the date on which you want to receive the bonds, enter your DNI/NIE and email address, and access the Bono Comercio program. Once completed, the application will be sent by email, and the voucher will be valid for 10 calendar days to spend from the selected date.
The discounts can be used to buy food, clothing, footwear, accessories, textile, stationery, computer, hardware stores, jewellery shops, bookstores, opticians, hairdressers, dry cleaners.
