Ecoadventure Buggy Tours: A gentle, guided tour in an electric buggy across the protected landscape of the Sierra de Las Moreras

Starting from their shop in Bolnuevo and lasting for approximately two hours, there is a wonderful guided tour you can take with buggy hire company Ecoadventure through the protected landscape of the Sierra de Las Moreras on the Mazarrón coast.

Driving an electric buggy and with an audio guide available in Spanish and English to tell you all about the sights and history of the area, this is a activity that simply must be tried in the Mazarrón area.

Many years ago, this area was open to all traffic, but sadly that was changed around 15 years ago so only bicycles and pedestrians can access it now.

As the vehicles used by Ecoadventure are 100% electric, the tour guides have special permission to enter the protected area where vehicles are no longer permitted and the gates are securely locked. What a delight to realise the guide had keys!

The audio guide explains in detail about the fossils and rock formations at the Erosions in Bolnuevo and then further up the coast as the tour goes into some simply stunning coastal areas.

The famous nudist beaches are also along this stretch of coastline (for those who prefer the ‘natural approach’!) and the snorkelling is simply amazing. The coves of Cueva de Lobos and Cala Leño are particularly beautiful.

The buggies are simple to operate and seat 2 people, not unlike a small milk float to drive. Just like an automatic car, you only have a brake and an accelerator, there is no clutch to worry about.

There is an internal communication system between all the vehicles, so warnings can be heeded, such as cyclists and pedestrians, as they have priority over everything in this area.

This tour is thoroughly recommended, great fun and a ‘must do’, for visitors.

The price of a buggy is €70 for 2 people for 2 hours, which is very reasonable when you look at where they take you.
