Enrique Roca Stadium set for exciting VIP expansion and upgrades
Part of the stadium will be turned into a modern VIP area with more seats and better facilities

Real Murcia's home, Enrique Roca Stadium, has been a fixture in Murcia city since it opened in 2006, but for many years it saw little investment. That is changing. Felipe Moreno, a businessman from Córdoba who joined the club's executive team three years ago, has been leading a major programme of upgrades to bring the stadium up to modern standards.
The next phase is a project called 'Cuarta Planta', or 'Fourth Level'. This involves transforming the area currently used by the press into a four-level VIP zone. It will have 600 premium seats, a 180-square-metre leisure and dining area, and two smaller boxes of 30 seats at either end. Meanwhile, the press will move to a lower position on the side stand, giving journalists a better view of the pitch with open, well-equipped desks instead of the old enclosed cabins. The work is scheduled to start after the spring festivals in early April and should be finished in time for the 2026-27 season.
The stadium is already popular with fans. Despite a challenging season on the pitch, Enrique Roca has regularly welcomed 24,000 to 30,000 spectators. Businesses in the region are also heavily involved, sponsoring games and advertising inside the stadium, which has helped make it a valuable asset for the club. Recent improvements include a full overhaul of the pitch, upgraded lighting, new LED advertising boards, an expanded official store, and a fan zone with 120 high-comfort seats and pitchside catering. The 'Cuarta Planta' will continue this improvement, providing extra capacity, comfort, and revenue opportunities.
They are also considering further upgrades, such as extending the lower tier of seats and adding a partial roof to protect against rain, giving the stadium a feel closer to the top stadiums in England.
The stadium will also host an international friendly on May 16, when the Republic of Ireland takes on Grenada. This match is expected to create a great atmosphere and showcase the Costa Cálida region as a growing destination for football at all levels.
