Murcia weather forecast October 28-November 3: Wet all week long
There could be rain every single day this week
Murcia weather forecast, Monday October 28
We spent all spring and summer praying for a drop of rain, and now it’s here in abundance, just ready for Half Term when a bumper load of UK tourists will be coming to Spain looking for some winter sun. This week in Murcia promises to be a continuation of the previous couple of weeks, with plenty of rainfall and some thunderstorms, plus the addition of noticeably cooler temperatures than last week.
For Monday October 28, it will be a dark and very overcast start to the day, with the rain making an appearance by around 4pm. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has put most of the Region of Murcia on orange weather warning from 6pm to midnight for 30mm of accumulated rainfall each hour and storms, as well as high waves of 3-4 metres and strong winds of 50-70kmh on the coast.
Murcia weather warnings, Monday October 28
The rain continues unabated all day on Tuesday 29, and the yellow-level weather warnings for thunderstorms remain in place for the whole day. However, temperatures are forecast to rise slightly. As always in conditions of inclement weather like this, caution is advised when driving or when out and about, and it’s a good idea to take in or tie down things that could get blown about by the strong winds.
Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday October 29
On Wednesday October 30, we will get a little respite, and incredibly no rain is forecast for the Region of Murcia at all in this 24-hour period, although there is rain forecast just to the west, over the border into Jaén and Almería. It will still be kind of cloudy but the weather alerts will all have been deactivated; the wind is forecast to die down and the sun should poke through.
Temperatures once again take a dip by a degree or two, and while it will not be as chilly as Sunday and Monday just gone, it will not get back to warm levels.
Murcia weather forecast, Wednesday October 30
By midday on Thursday 31, the rain makes a return but for now Aemet is not expecting it to be anywhere near as heavy as earlier in the week, and it will not be accompanied by thunderstorms. Rather, it will be more like a drizzle on Thursday afternoon and early evening – enough to make your trick or treating a soggy affair.
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday October 31
It will be the same again as we pass into November, with a dry Thursday night and the showers only making a reappearance at around lunchtime on Friday November 1, a day when Spaniards traditionally go to cemeteries to clean the graves of their loved ones and leave flowers, though for many that tradition may have to take a raincheck this year.
We can expect this pattern to repeat for the weekend as Saturday November 2 also sees a dry morning followed by a bit of a damp afternoon, while Sunday 3 is forecast to bring intermittent showers all day long.
