Brits made up over 5 million of the overall number that travelled through the airport
Málaga Airport closed out 2024 with its best year to date with record numbers of tourists passing through its terminals. The countries that had the most amount of people travelling to Málaga were from the UK with 5,691,371 passengers. Second was Germany with 1,967,294 and the Dutch were third with 1,479,693. From France there were 1,360,672 travellers and from Italy 1,289,204.
Moreover, the airport saw a large rise in passengers from two countries in particular. From the Czech Republic there was an increase of 82.4% from the previous year, and from Poland there was an increase of 56.4%.
