ARCHIVED - Portly pup requires assistance from firefighters in Dehesa de Campoamor
The head of the dog became wedged between the concrete balustrade in Orihuela, within the Vega Baja comarca of the Alicante province
Firemen are trained to cope with most eventualities, but there’s always something that was missing from the training manual and plump pups becoming wedged in- between concrete balustrade supports isn´t an everyday occurrence.

But as usual, firemen applied the general rule of “when in doubt, apply common sense” and used brute force to extract the head of the dog which had become trapped between the concrete balustrades, much to the relief of the owner and the dog!
The incident occurred at a house in Calle Jara Carrillo in the Dehesa de Campoamor urbanization, Orihuela, at the weekend.
