Alicante council has organised a round of informative talks in 10 towns to discuss issues affecting Brits in Spain
Alicante Provincial Council has organised a series of face-to-face informative talks in 10 towns with the largest population of British residents to discuss issues affecting expats living in Spain post-Brexit.
"More than 80,000 British residents live in the province of Alicante and the council is committed to protecting the rights of all of our citizens. As such a series of talks has been organised which will take place in areas with the highest density of British," explained councillor for international residents, Juan de Dios Navarro.
In addition to addressing any matters of interest, the talks will provide information on long and short stays in Spain, study trips, health care, licences, certificates and validation of documents.
"In short, all kinds of issues related to the legal situation of the British collective following Brexit will be on the table," added Navarro.
Informative talks on Brexit dates and locations:
- October 21, 10am: Pilar de la Horada, Casa de Cultura
- October 22, 10.30am: Mutxamel, Centro Social José Bernabeu Alberola
- November 8, 10am: Torrevieja, La Mata Town Hall
- November 11, 10.30am: San Miguel de Salinas, Social Centre
- November 11, 4pm: Rojales, Ciudad Quesada Cultural Centre
- November 15, 4pm: Algorfa, San Vicente Ferrer Cultural Centre
- November 18, 11am: Teulada, La Senieta Assembly Hall
- November 23, 11am: Alfaz del Pi, Cultural Centre
- November 25, 11am: Javea, Casa de Cultura
- December 2, 11am: San Fulgencio, Cardenal Belluga Theatre
