ARCHIVED - Virgen del Rosario Fiestas in Torrelamata September 28 to October 10
The district in Torrevieja, Alicante province, will celebrate the traditional annual fiesta with concerts and performances for all the family
Torrevieja Council has put together a slightly scaled-back programme of events, in line with Covid restrictions, to celebrate the patron saint Virgen del Rosario in the Torrelamata district.
The line-up is as follows:
Tuesday September 28 until Wednesday October 6, 12 noon - Torrelamata Parish Church, traditional Novena (prayer recital) in honor of the Virgen del Rosario.
Every Sunday in October, 9am - Rosary recital at Torre La Mata Parish Church, followed by Holy Mass.
Sunday October 3, 11.30am - Concert by the Musical Society band 'Los Salerosos' in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
Wednesday October 6 and Thursday October 7, 8pm - Family cinema time in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
Thursday October 7, 9.30pm - Monologue performance 'I am from the Vega Baja' in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
Friday October 8, 9.30pm - Musical tribute to the Spanish rock band 'Hombres G' (G-men) by the group 'Voy a pasármelo G' (I'm going to pass it on G) in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol
Saturday October 9, from 12 noon - 'Los Vinilos' band will perform in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol followed by a musical and variety show.
Sunday October 10, 12 noon - Children's play 'The Wizard of Oz' at the festival grounds.
Sunday October 10, 6pm - Parade by the Musical Society band 'Los Salerosos' in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol.
Sunday October 10, 7.15pm, High Mass with a performance by the Nuevo Amanecer Choir in Plaza de Encarnación Puchol, followed by a traditional fireworks display.
All performances are free until full capacity is reached, and 'invitations' can be collected Monday, October 4 to 8, between 11am to 1pm from the Town Hall of La Mata, or at the entrance to Plaza de Encarnación Puchol one hour before each show or event.
