The week ahead in Andalucía will be dominated by high temperatures, particularly inland, with parts of the region once again under weather warnings. While much of the region will enjoy plenty of sunshine, there is a chance of some scattered showers and storms midweek, especially in areas with more cloud cover. Dust in the air may reduce visibility slightly, and winds will generally remain light with a bit of variation along the coast.

 

 

Hot weather takes hold at the start of the week, with weather warnings in place for Seville, Jaen, Cordoba and Granada where temperatures could reach up to 40 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy with mid and high-level cloud, and there is a chance of scattered showers or thunderstorms, particularly inland. Huelva will see a slight dip in maximum temperatures. Winds will stay light and variable across most areas, picking up to a moderate easterly breeze along the Mediterranean coast, including Almeria.

 

 

More cloud cover is expected today, especially across the interior. Mid and high-level cloud could bring the odd scattered shower or storm, possibly accompanied by thunder. Dust in the atmosphere may also be noticeable in places like Jaen and Granada, both of which are once again under high temperature warnings, with highs expected around 39 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate and variable throughout the day.

Skies will clear slightly with mostly sunny or lightly cloudy conditions across the region. However, dust will continue to linger in the eastern half. Morning temperatures will fall slightly, while maximums will drop in the eastern interior but rise in the west, particularly around Cadiz and Huelva. Westerly winds will be light inland and moderate along the coast.

 

A clear and sunny day across Andalucía. Temperatures will rise again, especially in the west, though the eastern interior around Granada is likely to stay more stable. Light northerly winds will blow across inland areas while the coastal towns, including Tarifa and Malaga, will feel a light to moderate westerly breeze.

 

A generally hot and dry week ahead, with just a few interruptions midweek for some inland areas. Perfect weather for the beach, but do take care in the high temperatures.
