Heat alerts have finally been deactivated, but the hot weather is sticking around: Murcia weather forecast July 3-6
There may be more weather alerts to come on Saturday and Sunday, but some cloudier conditions come next week could cool things down

Due to the deadly heatwave sweeping Spain and Europe this week, the Region of Murcia has once again been under yellow-level weather alerts from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for most of the week for high temperatures of 38ºC or more.
Now, though, as of Thursday July 3, these alerts have been deactivated – at least for the time being – as temperatures cool off just a smidgen, down to maximums of just 37ºC in central Murcia.

Maximum temperatures in Murcia, Thursday July 3
On Friday July 4, we may gain some ‘independence’ from the searing heat, at least on the Murcia coastline near Mazarrón, as windspeeds pick up to 25-28kmh in the afternoon, bringing a cooling but not too strong southerly breeze coming in off the sea.

Murcia windspeeds, Friday July 4
Minimum temperatures at night will go down by a couple of degrees this weekend, making for slightly more tolerable nights, but by Saturday July 5 the yellow-level heat alerts are back as the temperature in central Murcia – usually the hottest part of the Region – is forecast to exceed 38ºC again.

Murcia weather warning, Saturday July 5
In the rest of the Region, maximum temperatures will reach up to 36-38ºC in the northern and inland areas at the height of the day, while on the coast it will be more like 31-34ºC.
At night-time, minimum temperatures will be around 19-21ºC inland and 22-25ºC on the coast.
Sky conditions are forecast to be mainly clear and sunny all weekend long, with only some light cloud cover, but for next week cloudier conditions are forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, accompanied by the chance of some light rainfall, which could mean an ever-so-slight decrease in temperatures (if we’re lucky!).

Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday July 8

- Friday July 4: Min 19ºC; Max 37ºC
