The rain continues in the Region of Murcia for most of this week, according to the weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), with the chance of hailstorms like last week, especially in the north.

That said, Monday May 12 is forecast to be calm and settled in comparison with the Saturday just gone and the rest of the week to come. With highs of 27ºC in central Murcia during the day and only some high clouds covering the sun on occasion, this Monday is a lovely, clear day in the Region.

On Tuesday 13, however – an unlucky day in the Spanish calendar – the northern part of Murcia is on yellow alert come the afternoon due to the risk of heavy rains and possibly more hailstones, while the rest of the Region will also see rain, if not hail. Luckily, the wind will not be very strong at all this week, so at least the rain won’t be driving sideways.

Wednesday 14 is also forecast to be wet and stormy, mainly in the afternoon, though Aemet has not yet activated any weather alerts for the day.

Again, on Thursday 15, there are more storms forecast in the morning and heavy rain in the afternoon, while temperatures – both maximums and minimums – drop down a degree or two.

A dry night on Thursday leads into what Aemet is currently forecasting to be a more settled and sunny weekend, with temperatures rising up to 29ºC, though this prediction is liable to change as the week goes on, so keep an eye on the developing forecast.
