Sept 25-Oct 13 The Champions Burger rolls into Cartagena with 14 top-notch burger spots

A vibrant burger tour stops at Cartagena’s port with unique creations, voting, and plenty of tasty fun

A burger festival like no other is rolling into Cartagena from September 25 to October 13. The Champions Burger festival will be bringing 14 of Spain’s finest gourmet burger joints to the cruise terminal at the Port.

So if you fancy trying something different, why not go along and sink your teeth into a meaty treat. This is the first time the event has come to Cartagena on its “Off the Road” tour, searching for the best burger on the coast.

For nineteen days, locals and visitors can dig into creative burgers cooked fresh in modern, custom-built spaces. The line-up includes popular names like Godeo, Tokio, Dak Burger, The Vicbros Burger, Street Food Burger, Nolito's, Muralla, and El Surtidor on Fire. Each one will be serving up a unique burger made just for this occasion.

There’s also a special spot featuring famous chefs dishing out their own creations. Look out for Gottan Grill, this year’s reigning champion of Best Burger in Spain and Best Burger in Europe; Faakin Smash by YouTuber Joe Burger; and The Ox by Pablo Cabezali of Dinner with Pablo. And of course, you won’t go hungry - Ybarra fries and Seixis cheesecakes, ice creams, and milkshakes will be on hand to complete the feast.

Here’s the fun bit, you get to judge the burgers yourself. After tasting, simply scan the QR code on your receipt to rate the burger on bread, meat, ingredient combos, presentation, and originality. The top three will be declared the best in the city, with one crowned as Cartagena’s Best Burger.

The festival runs from 6pm to midnight Monday to Thursday, and from midday to midnight Friday to Sunday. Doors open at 7pm on the first day, September 25. After successful stops in Gandía, Valencia and San Fernando, Cadiz, this event is sure to be a big hit in Cartagena.
